Click Calculate to perform the calculation.Click Accuracy to display a dialog box where you can change the accuracy settings.Click Factors to display a dialog box where you can change factors for selected Method of Strength Calculation.
On the Calculation tab, select Method of Strength Calculation from the drop-down list, and enter values to perform the strength check.
Note: Click More in the right lower corner of the Design tab to open the More Options area, where you can select other options for your calculation. You can change the values and units directly in the edit fields. Specify all known gear parameters - select appropriate Design Guide option from the drop-down list, and enter the values. On the Design tab, select the type of gears you want to insert (component or feature). On the ribbon, click Design tab Power Transmission panel Spur Gear.Tip: See the Engineer's Handbook for used calculation formulas and other instructions for designing spur gears. Perform the material design of spur gears.Perform the calculation of power, speed, or torque.Calculate spur gears according to various strength methods, according to ANSI or ISO, for example.Design gears based on various entry parameters such as number of teeth or center distance, for example.Insert gears as components, features, or only calculations.Design and insert two gears connection.
The generator calculates the production, checks dimensions and loading forces, and performs the strength check based on Bach, Merrit, CSN 01 4686, ISO 6336, DIN 3990, ANSI/AGMA 2001-D04: 2005, or Legacy ANSI. It contains geometric calculations for designing different types of correction distributions, including a correction with compensation of slips. Calculates dimensions and checks strength of external and internal gearing with straight and helical teeth.
